Dear Parents of 8th & 9th graders,
I am very excited to welcome you to the TRT Center for a Jewish Future high school program. Both the curriculum and the format of the school have been revised to better accommodate both the goals of our program and the desires of the students. The year will be divided into trimesters. Students will select one course for the first hour of each trimester. The second hour, all 8th and 9th graders will meet together to learn with Rabbi Weber.Class size for the first hour classes will be limited. We will try to honor first choices while balancing class size. If a class exceeds the maximum number of registrants, preference will be given to 9th graders and early registrants so please register early.
Our opening night barbeque and get together is SUNDAY, September 7th from 6 - 8. At that time, students will have a chance to catch up, reconnect with friends, have a songfest and make smores around the firepit and meet the faculty. It is important that you RSVP for our barbeque asap to ensure the right amount of food! All other classes for 8th and 9th graders will be held on Mondays from 7:00 - 9:00.
Please be advised of the following:
1. all students are required to attend a minimum of 5 Shabbat services during the year. Attendance at services during the summer are counted.
2. students are allowed a maximum of 2 absences during each trimester.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org or at the school office at 732 308-3836.
Again, I look forward to seeing all of you soon and embarking on this new journey together.
